A mild and grey day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well and slept in. Spent the morning in the kitchen, making soup and dividing the side of salmon I bought the other day on a clubcard offer into portions. As I thought, I got a dozen portions off it (all approx 4oz), and Madam Lexi got the leftover trimmings. Salmon is now in the freezer.
This afternoon I cut lengths of firewood into logs. Although I had to fettle the saw a few times before I had it working to my satisfaction. Although it *would* have helped somewhat if I'd put the chain on the right way round yesterday...
Quiet-ish evening. Supper was a reprise of yesterday, albeit with a jacket potato to go with the venison burgers and caulisprout cheese.
Have also watched some TV and made a batch of lebkuchen dough.

Fire banked for the night, and tucked up in bed with the non-furry hot water bottle.
Plan on doing a bit of writing. Well, editing and fleshing out some plot threads for later chapters. Am sitting here wondering whether I should include a slightly sappy Christmas scene in the story, or whether that's just far too fanfic-y.
