Over here that is classed as assault and the driver can be charged over it.
On the way home one part of the main road that meets a side road is known to flood. If you don't time it right cars often get you.
The other week a nurse walking the other way to me was not as lucky as me and got it full on.

Quite possibly. There's lots of things I see every day that drivers could be charged for but never are.

I was supposed to be going out tonight but don't think I will as the weather is horrible and forecast to get worse. Getting wet once is enough for one day and don't fancy getting whacked with possible stray branches, slates or trampolines!

I won't need to be jealous of my neighbour's Christmas decorations as they might be in my garden by morning!

Fabby supper of parsnip, apple & potato soup (curried), followed by a sausage & lentil casserole with a side of bulgur wheat :hungry:

Wonderful, tasty and filling stodge for a winter's evening. The casserole recipe was taken out of the November issue of the Tesco magazine, though I swapped the mushrooms for celery, added some smoked Polish sausage and didn't use any canned ingredients. Would definitely recommend, though.

I just hope I don't add to Storm Darragh's strength overnight

Now raining and getting a bit breezy here near the East Anglian coast.

Not a bad day earlier on - I managed to get all the shopping done and a decent bike ride in at the same time. With the local CoOp transferring over to Sainsburys at the end of the year, I picked up the last 3 packs of my favourite sausages that they had on sale to stick in the freezer.
I have had another splurge on train tickets for an outing at the end of February which means that I've got an excuse for a little walk up to the local station to get them printed out if the weather is too bad for a bike ride over the weekend.

Looks ok outside but the forecast is for heavy rain later.
Gritting lorry went past at 0600 again this morning but it seems unlikely to be that cold until early next week.

The infernal holiday house opposite has his bin out blocking my car since last saturday. I need to stick it blocking his gate the next time I am out but he seems impervious to hints to shift his bins to the other entrance to the house where they will bother nobody.
Nothing planned but washing machine is on and should be finished by now so need to go and attend to that.

Attach it to the desired gate. To stop it blowing away in the wind, of course.
Cheap chain and a padlock.
Or some cable ties
Or bailer twine
