I have this curious urge to wrap up well and go for a walk in the wind and rain. I'm managing to keep this impulse under control for now.

Was completely puzzled last night where a piece of clear plastic I was removing paint from with nothing more than a cotton bud and toothpaste had gone. I had gone upstairs to find a box of stiffer cotton buds and when I came back downstairs could not find it.
Took the assorted clutter off the table this morning and moved it. Not on the floor. Completely bemused I then eventually noticed it was still on the table, it was almost invisible on the table top.
A slightly damp and in a hurry before the wind strengthens postie called with a pack of cabinets lights ordered on Thursday via Ebay where they were less than half the price of them on Amazon
@Jenkins have you checked if the maker of those sasuages has a list of stockists. It may be some farm shop for example, even if they do not stock them currently they may do so once the Co-Op closes.

Part of the Yum group of brands , It's not great over here either not that long ago that KFC management messed up supply and logistics. So ran out of chicken for days some areas it took weeks to fully sort. Folk went into melt down even reports of them phoned police about it.
Most KFC's are ran on a franchise model , it's common for same owner to run other brands near them. we have a KFC , taco bell (same group) and a costa all owned by same franchise owner.

In The States, it is /was common for a KFC to be under the same roof as a Long John Silver's or a Taco Bell or A&W .

You could try putting a drop of paint onto your piece of plastic so that it's easier to find....

There must have been well trodden routes to follow otherwise people would have come across all sorts of obstacles. Some would have also been herding animals as well. Seems like a logistical nightmare!-

Mebbe those in ancient times were better organised than we know and obviously travelled far afield. Not a subject I know much about to my shame.

Wind seems to have dropped a bit and not currently raining.
The Fishnish small ferry has been sailing all morning but is stopping about now for the rest of today. Probably the tide is turning as with a north wind and tide going the other way nasty sea conditions will start and make the crossing a bit dodgy as there is no shelter in the open Sound plus getting to the unprotected slipway a problem as well.

From time to time the sky clears a bit and I can see a dusting of snow on the mountains so getting quite a bit colder for the next few days.

Currently in the middle of digitising some old Super 8mm film. It's from my Wife's parents around the time my wife was born. We ordered a digital converter from Amazon, and it's doing a good job of converting the films - three down loads to go.

Only issue we had was the take up reel not spinning properly, and we were getting loose film loops, and unable to rewind. Rather than send it back, I opened it up and found the axel was stiff and showed some signs of corrosion. Emery papered it off, and greased it with rubber grease, and re-assembled. Working perfectly now. Takes a good couple of hours to run through a five inch diameter film reel for about 10 minutes of video.

The digitiser takes a picture of each frame, then converts it to a MP4. Then a case of plugging in to the laptop and copying the file over, or removing the SD and placing in a reader. The family haven't seen these films for probably 40 years. They are from the early 70's.

What a thoroughly miserable day. I managed to find a lull in the wind and rain for a quick visit by ebike to see mum, only for the conditions to change back for my return trip. Did remember to stop at the local rail station and get the tickets printed out as planned. Since I got home I've not moved from the sofa except to make a mug of coffee.

These appear to be a Norfolk based company with their main (only?) outlet outside the county being the CoOp so it's possible they may also be available in the medium sized store local to me.

Luckly I managed an early morning walk before the bad weather get going. Other than that I've only been out for short walk to local Tescos and one longer way round to Tescos later in the afternoon. Both times being the only real break we've had in the weather. Done an online shop for a few more bits of Christmas food shopping. Was planning to do a few other things on my Christmas to list but never got round to starting.
Now watching via ipayer BBC 4 re-run of The box of Delights not seen it since I was a kid, one of many well written multi episode kids drama programs of the time which are no longer made.

Just watched the opening titles and remember the visuals well, but not the music, nor any of the story; so not quite a nostalgia trip!
Might spend some time on it tomorrow (we have a dinner invitation tonight; our first festive nosh-up of the year)
