Back on the subject of our ancestors I think that there must have been far more people around than they say. Communication between them must have been good otherwise they wouldn't have been able to organise the big events that they had. There must have been stone reps travelling between them. " Got just the right stones for you, blue stones from Wales, not far away!"
How on earth did they manage to convince the wife and kids to walk all the way from Scotland to Salisbury Plain with kids asking"Are we there yet?" All the way? How did they know where to go and how long it would take? That's a lot of sandwiches to take!

All the KFCs around me closed, but KFC in The States is a mess compared to overseas.

Part of the Yum group of brands , It's not great over here either not that long ago that KFC management messed up supply and logistics. So ran out of chicken for days some areas it took weeks to fully sort. Folk went into melt down even reports of them phoned police about it.
Most KFC's are ran on a franchise model , it's common for same owner to run other brands near them. we have a KFC , taco bell (same group) and a costa all owned by same franchise owner.

Not just "Scotland" but Northern Scotland which is a lot further.

Pretty much as forecast it is likely to be wet and windy all day.
My neighbour has sensibly lowered his fancy Christmas tree thing. It is a bit like a bell tent with a central pole and the sides are pulled up to the apex with a simple hoist as the sides are strings of multi coloured fairy lights.
Naturally the main ferries are off tho' no word about the small one from Fishnish which must still be running.
An indoors day I think.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's fairly breezy and raining, but not as bad as expected - or is that still to come later?

Coffee has been had with the last chocolate digestive from the pack so I will need to check the cupboard to see what's left to open to go with tomorrow morning's cuppa. Don't think I'm going to be doing much today other than read and listen to whatever is on the radio or just stick the '2024 music' folder on the phone on random play.
