Another day's training completed. We have an assessment to do in the morning.

Despite the nice start to the day, it was a bit wet and windy when I was walking home.

My ankle is stiff and a bit sore for some reason. I'm sitting trying to soak it in a basin of hot water to see if that helps but the basin isn't quite big enough to put my foot in.

If you're able, get a second bowl with cold water in it, then soak your foot i alternate bowls for five minutes.
Repeat three or four times.

It's been a chilly and greyish day here chez Casa Reynard, though the sky cleared some in the afternoon. It is now foggy.

Slept well. Spent the morning doing chores including topping up the wood bins in the house, emptying the trailer in the garage and just generally tidying up.

The afternoon was spent doing errands in town, some successfully, others not. Of the latter, I am *REALLY* bemoaning the loss of Wilkinson's, because the B&M we now have in its place is largely packed with cheap and useless plastic tat and didn't have anything of what I wanted. Before, I could have gotten the phone cable, brown paper, "fragile" tape and duck tape all in the same damn shop - and at a sensible price, and now I have to run around town to several different emporia. In fact, I couldn't get any of those items today, so I will have to go back and look elsewhere. The post office in St Mary's Street and Cutlacks down Fore Hill should turn up the goods.

Successful errands include buying a birthday present for a friend in Toppings Bookshop, stocking up on herbal teas and Danish butter biskits in Aldi and getting some good yellow sticker bargains off the counters in Waitrose. The latter included a job lot of plaice fillets, some corned beef, a chunk of artisanal cave-aged cheddar and two lemon & raisin Danish pastries.

Had scotch broth followed by a bacon & cheese toastie and a :cuppa: for supper.

Now having a quiet evening.

And time for beddy-byes.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:
