Taking my hearing aid apart to clean the tubes I accidentally snapped the ear connection from the body. I walked into Specsavers and within ten minutes it was fixed and my other ear piece overhauled and parts replaced completely free too. The benefits of having Specsavers providing NHS hearing aids 100% satisfaction.

My problem is that Specsavers are in the town centre in Oban so nowhere guaranteed handy to park within my walking distance. Hospital has blue badge parking and I have so far never failed to get a space and good service from them.

New one would not back up from the old one as it was running 12.5.7. I needed over13.1 in order to access a revamped web site for ferry services.Essential for anyone needing to travel by Calmac.
In settings and keyboard everything seemed to be automatically selected when I checked.
I will probably get there in the end and am fed up having to put in passwords.
Still not able to get Borrowbox but the library can sort that for me.

That's what I thought.
As for password they are all in the password app if your running the newest IOS on your other Apple devices. It should once connected to the internet it will sync over via the iCloud.

Work visit to Ripon this morning probably could gave been better left half an hour as at 10 to 10 on the return the A61 came to a halt with a very very long tail back from a set of traffic lights. Took a 3 mile detour instead.
Then an afternoon meeting in Skipton. Couldn't quite work out the earthworks and structures for the diversion that will replace Cote de Blubberhouses, but presumably it will make sense. Arrived early enough to raid Tesco and then in the meeting wondered why I could not find a program on it. Eventually realised I had taken my own personal laptop and not a work one:banghead:

A nasty cold wet day so indoors apart from one trip to the bin.
All the food I brought home is now safely stored in appropriate places.
Onions I keep in string bags in a cool cupboard but all else is either frozen or chilled.
Slept for a bit in the afternoon but otherwise just reading a book or browsing The internet.

Time for bed: from tomorrow I'm on an early shift in the shiny new city centre workshop, as the organisation is short-staffed over December. On the other hand, I'll be finished by about 2pm, and over the next month I'll probably build up sufficient overtime that I'll be able to work a three-day week in January...

Made it through day 1, although I need to go half an hour earlier, so "breakfast" will likely be a pretzel from the bakery for the foreseeable future; there's a limit to how early I can go to bed to make sure I get a full eight hours.
On the other hand, it was fun to arrive at my usual place of work around the same time as everyone else and realise that I was already halfway through my shift...

Some things did sync but others I had to shift manually.
Borrowbox still refuses to download but the library can sort that for me on my next visit.

Wait until they're there and you're just arriving.
