A nice sunny day but a cold wind.
Got my ferry bookings done with no drama.
Chemist next where they saw me parking outside the shop and came out with my prescription to save me getting out of my car. My Peugeot Partner is higher than the average modern car but I suppose getting out looks worse than it really is.
I find people are very helpful and regularly hold doors open which is not really necessary but I always thank them anyway.

Knackered after a couple of busy days and had a trike run on Saturday as well which always is harder after a longish layoff.
Still managed a fast run home on Sunday and did the 21miles in about 25 minutes.
The Peugeot looks nothing fancy but is no slouch and knowing the road helps a lot.
An early night calls and hope for a good sleep to rejuvenate me.

Another annoyance of the new iPad is no automatic capital letters at the beginning of a new sentence and the screen light fluctuates for no apparent reason.

Go to Settings > General, then tap Keyboard and you will find a whole list of keyboard setting you can turn on and off Inc auto capitals.
As for screen light that's down to to auto ambient light adjustment. If you don't like it then go to Settings > Accessibility and tap Display & Text Size, then turn off Auto-Brightness.

It's been a grey, chilly and at times rather soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept so-so. Went to visit the friend this morning who fosters for SCWT with a view of taking on, at least in the short term, the Siamese x Persian that I turned down a while back. She's had two possible homes fall through since, and no further interest. Apparently she'd mellowed and relaxed a lot in a home environment, so I thought it was worth a try. Especially since I have a lot to offer. If it worked, she'd stay, if it didn't work, then she'd go back to the SCWT.

Madam was all sweeness and light initially, and all over me like a rash, but when I put the treats away, she went for me twice and really meant it. Yes, she got me, and yes, she drew blood. Then she sat on the desk staring at me in absolute fury - to the point I was expecting the paint on the wall to start charring. Now I don't know whether putting the treats away was the trigger for that, or whether she simply doesn't like me that much. We're going to do some more work with her to see if we can work that out. Because as things stand, she cannot be rehomed if she can flip from sweet to evil without warning.

Needless to be said that as a result of this morning's events, I have decided that I am not going to take her on as a foster. Goodness knows what her previous home was like for her to be so messed up in terms of temperament. The SCWT were told she was demanding. She's not. She's unpredictable. Which is a completely different kettle of fish. I can't put my mum and my own cat at risk.

Done a bunch of chores this afternoon, including topping up the wood bins and taking the vacuum cleaner for a walk downstairs.

A quiet evening is planned.

Today started badly not sleep too good then on way home got soaked though via heavy rain 1/2 way home. So had to dry off and change once I got back. Then over th court of the day my little bit of cold has slowly turned into full on one. I doubt I'm going to to work tomorrow standing in a stuffy sports hall all day over seeing 400 kids. Going mock exams and making sure every thing is right and everyone. Is going things right is not great with cold and a banging headache.

Typical Siamese behaviour, an old lady I used to go shopping for as a kid (Monty the next door neighbour's Mum) had one and it could go from fusspot to 'rip you to shreds' in a heartbeat and he had been 'done'
