Fire banked for the night (no interest accrued beyond keeping the upstairs radiators warm till the morning), and am tucked up in bed with both varieties of hot water bottle.

I'm up. Dog's out in the garden tiddling. Tea's brewing. First load of washing in the machine on Night Time leccy.

spent most of the day sleeping yesterday as i didnt have any energy , got woken up "early" by the postman as i am on lat shift this week and i have a banging headache and feel dehydrated but at least the constant stream of sniffle has abated.
The plan today is to rest up before i have to go to work but i will be going in the car as i dont feel well enough to try the bike yet and as i am under the HR radar for time off i really need to turn up.

Good morning from Suffolk where it looks to be a bright & sunny start to the day. Coffee has been had and as I'm up and about rather than having a lie in there's a load of washing just entering the rinse cycle. The bin has also been emptied so that needs to be retrieved.

Today's outing is to Manchester which is being done on the cheap so it involves three hours on the EMR numb bum special from Peterborough to Manchester today and three & a half hours return to Ely tomorrow.

Sunny intervals but a strong NE wind keeping the temperature down.
Need to get the shopping sorted and then dispose of all the surplus packaging. Today is recycling bin day but that can wait for another couple of weeks.
Knackered after my trip off but it is good to get out and see a bit of the rest of the world.
Need to get soup for lunch made in my fancy[ish] machine which turns out not too bad soup in a fairly short time.

Booking for my next ferry trip have to be made as I hope to be at my son's house for Christmas and New Year. This is a bit of a gamble as so much depends on the weather at the time which can adversely affect sailings.
