Bit of a 'dusting' here in Leicester but only left on the bushes/hedges and grass now.
After a crispy start today, went into H*****d's to kick off about their useless de icer spray 'effective down to minus 25 degrees' and the end of the conversation was marked by the assistant saying 'I'm not surprised to be honest'.
Obviously a well trained and loyal H*****d's employee - !
really? snow? wow, when it occurs, do share! last year didn't get a storm until 1/7/24

There's been snow in June round these parts before.
I've spent a few days "t'inning" turnips, carrots spuds. Working on the knees to save the back where possible. In my farming days we could not get casuals to work at thinning turnips in June as it was so cold. I remember wearing gloves and and an old army greatcoat I found as we had to do it all ourselves.

Fertilizer bag cut into two sheets, one one each leg and tied in place above the knees. Okay if you never reversed.
We have snow.
The pavements are covered with wet leaves & it has been raining for quite a while. Now it is snowing, big soggy flakes. Be interesting if it's still there in 7 1/2 hours. Temp is 35F.
A day, or two, on the bog, cutting, turning and footing turf.I remember those days all too well but the worst I think was cutting kale on a frosty morning.
