Good morning from Suffolk where it's a bright and sunny start to the day for the second day running - it can't last
Coffee has been had.

This morning will be mostly spent doing domestics and the afternoon will be a shopping trip for today's food and travel snacks for tomorrow's outing to Sheffield combined with a visit to see my dad. My step sister is up from Cornwall and staying with them and it's her birthday today so a card will be hand delivered saving £1 on postage.

Thankfully no, although they still have 4 1/2 months to make their mind up. Thankfully there aren't many nerds about with my ridiculously specific set of interests, so they'll probably want to keep me employed unless I do something really stupid.

You may want to delete some of your posts on here detailing your past efforts just in case they check to see if you have previous form for that sort of thing

Many thanks to @oldwheels. The pong going into next door's bedroom (through the window) has gone.

Last Thursday, I got the grid up from the "sump" and poured down some water from a watering can. I think it was the sort of "U bend" just below the drain cover that was full of stagnant water. Not much rain falls into the gap (about five foot wide) between the houses, so it was not getting "flushed" out.

A hospital visit is on the cards for this afternoon which will also involve a trip along the A14, not sure which is going to be more stressful

I'm sat in a webinar by a publisher and have been seriously mis-sold the purpose; it's merely an overview of how to teach using their textbook NOT the purpose stated - which was the implication of future concepts in the subject I teach.

Basic wouldn't even begin to describe it!

Coffee loyalty cards,sadly for me i like coffee,Well we have a brand new super smart Starbucks here in Meanwood.I had a visit on Sunday for the walk.Well first thing i won't be going again ,why simply cost.But today i thought i would see the loyalty app,ha ha.it looks like you have to buy 17 coffees to get a free one.Other brands it is 9 or 10.Meanwood visits will be my old pal Victor at Marcels,local lad on his own,and you get a great conversation as he sits with you if he has time,plus his bacon sarnie is fit for the Gods.Next visit Friday for a full English,a treat.

Laptop recovered its data, well onto an attached hard drive after the expenditure of purchasing an approriate piece of software, Wondershare Recover-it. Probably needed a clean out anyway, so stuff being dragged off the hard drive as needed.
Travel news this morning peak was reporting delays on the A59 at Knaresborough due to a broked down bus; today being the day a fleet of new electric buses entered service - one obviously didn't get far.
