Two fish , reminds me of time we had fish and chips in Skipton. When Mrs 73 came back with our takeaway she said you've got two fish. She told the women put an extra one in for free as the 1st one broke as they put it in box. Lovely big tasty portion too.

Went out with the intention of having a walk but rain started so abandoned that idea. As soon as I got home it all cleared up and I can now see snow on the higher hills. Looks like a thin covering but to quite a low level.
Since I had to wait for bread being ready did not manage a walk at all today. Bread did not rise too well but no idea why tho' it contains raisins and is perfectly edible.
My front garden has now visible two blackbirds, a robin, blue tit and a couple of house sparrows.
A post on a different thread reminds me of when I was a postman and delivered to a housing area occupied by naval personnel. I always knew when a submarine from the base at Faslane was due back as the backs of the envelops to the resident wives had SWALK [ sealed with a loving kiss] on them but more often KOR [ you can work that latter one for yourselves].

The weather has taken on a distinctly wintery feeling now, much colder this afternoon.
I've not done a huge amount today apart from a walk, wash the car and I've located my laptop bag buried at the back of the hall cupboard and given it a clean. Laptop and assorted equipment all packed up up now, all ready for my first day working in the office in over two years! Typical of my luck to have snow forecast when I need to start going to the office again!
Hopefully I will be allowed to return to working at home again when this training is over.

The Guardian did a best 20 fish and chips article and between Stornoway and Stonehaven (Aberdeenshire) they listed Maggie's down in Hastings. And that was Maggie's offering. Chips were crispier than normal, batter light, and top tartare sauce. Recommended.

Most likely. Same thing really, just depends where it was made.
Or does it have its own dichroic reflector?
There are more exotic possibilities.

It's been a chilly and breezy day here chez Casa Reynard, and one that got progressively gloomier from a fairly bright start.
Slept so-so, but treated myself to a lay in. Had a good and productive day. Cleared up the remainder of the shopping, stuck some bits in the freezer, made a big pot of cream of onion soup and brought in a trailer of wood.
Started clearing up that downed ash tree. It's a big one that's got to be about 16 inches thick at the base. In terms of firewood, it should be enough to take us close to the New Year. I also found a few large cherry branches nearby, so those got cut up and lobbed into the trailer as well.
Now sat watching the tennis.
