Back from a good evening out in Norwich although it was a bit closer on fuel than I'd have liked. There was an estimated range of 150 miles worth of fuel shown on the car's computer and a round trip of 100 miles to do - or so I thought. I've not done this drive for over a year and it turns out it's a 115 mile round trip!

Everything else planned for the day got done at a nicely relaxed pace just to fill out time. The only problem was that Morrisons didn't have everything I wanted - just how can a major supermarket run out of full fat milk AND tomato soup? At least it gave me an excuse for another bike ride to a different supermarket and a bonus pack of chocolate biscuits.

Morning.
It is sort of light grey here with a scattering of thin grey cloud. I assume that it is dry out.
I am staying off my bike as I have a PSA test tomorrow, I don't want to affect it by going for a ride. It is a bit hard walking past my bike and not being tempted to go for a ride.
Oh! My last 3 PSA results showed a rise, not high but when I had cancer it was only 3.? So 2.8 isn't far off.

Nearly clear blue sky
First cuppa went down well
Garden bird feeders have been topped up.
And I realised yesterday that I forgot to remove the quarter full bag of bird seed out of the black general waste bin on Thursday when it was emptied so a trip to B & M is on the cards over the next few days.

The sun rose over the horizon in the SE at 0805 this morning but unfortunately has gone into hiding now and it is raining again.
The forecast tells me the temperature should be down to minus figures but when I got up it was 6.6C above zero.

Last night was a nice full moon shining through my front windows and this morning I could see a hazy moon from my kitchen.

The A828 near my mainland base was was closed by a rockfall so a lot of traffic started using the A845 across to Loch Etive which is single track. Inevitably it did not do them much good as the road got predictably gridlocked by people who could not reverse or even steer accurately forwards. Result a car in the ditch and a complete blockage.
Cue much internet outrage.

Dry start but rain forecast this afternoon and currently just 4 degrees. Sticky things ready to collect at Toolstation, Lidl to raid and the weeks bargain vouchers to use up at Waitrose (50p off 2 pint milk, £1 off cottage pie and £1.50 off mince pies). Was going to leave that untl Tuesday but if I do it will definately snow.

We are looking at buying a new TV. It is confusing. Our old TV is working but we can't get I Player now anda plug in device might not work due to age of our TV. They talk about saving the planet but keep bringing out things which make things obsolete! The next thing is Freely! Do we go for one with that or without?

Freely is the new version of Freeview. If your TV has a hdmi socket then there should be no problem connecting a Roku etc.
