The weather gods are having a laugh at me.
When I posted this morning it was raining and looked like staying that way but an hour later the sun appeared and it was a nice if cold day. There is now a clear half moon shining but no stars visible.
Managed a reasonable walk but if I started earlier I could have had the trike out for a run.
Indoors I got some minor sewing done as the body and waist band of underpants I bought in Asda about 15 years ago are beginning to part company. A stitch in time etc should keep them going for a bit longer. Must have been really good quality to survive uncountable washings over all those years.

What! Like an echo?

Back in the dim and distant past, when we had a railway line in these parts, one of the local stations was famous for having one spelling of the town's name on the platform sign at one side and the other spelling on the sign on the opposite platform.

The signs still exist somewhere.

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...

SWMBO has picked up her Christmas present, as it was delivered next door, and is wearing it. That's it, she's getting a lump of coal on Christmas Day.

Good afternoon from Leeds - snuck into town from the west rather than the usual south to confuse the Yorkshire Border Guards.

Edit - make that from the east.
Which is why I need a Garmin GPS when on a bike!

I'm in Leeds tomorrow. Was riding an audax today so couldn't man the barricades.

Bit late now, he's gone.

Although he may have to pass through Halifax to get out.
I'm still here :hello:
There's still two more trips to Leeds to come this year, but only to swap trains - one for Sheffield and the other for Manchester.

A new venue to me this evening - Project House for Fat Dog. Only an album's worth of material but absolutely worth the trip. Now having a hot chocolate and a bag of crisps at the hotel.

Wasn't going to mention this, no need thought I as he's on his way back down.
But, like DCLane I'm in Leeds tomorrow. On foot, at the station twice.

Something for Jenkins to read whilst he's there.
