Just a little reminder for those of us with short memories.

A lot of fear was generated over something that for most people was much like the flu. And nobody had the guts to put the blame where it belonged, the lab in China.

And a million people died. Twice as many Americans as in WWII

Certainly in the UK, it suited the authorities to put Covid on the death cert to keep the fear alive.

About as unwarm as yesterday but with addition of damp surfaces.
Due to a turning head outside car occupants typically look straight at the house so years ago I fitted an electric curtain rail to the lounge window. With a light on a timer it consequently means the house looks occupied even when not. The programmable timer for the curtains has stopped working:sad: They work fine off a separately wired push switch.
Have contacted the makers to see if the cable linking the timer to the motor is sourceable as suspecting that rather than the timer itself.

Unless there's damage to the cable, aren't the contacts in the timer the most likely location?

As I posted above a reset resolved the issue.

The brief sunny spell triggered the rain.

Finally resolved a 4 way extension with individually switched sockets. Have two identical which worked independently of each other. Then one of remote controls died so whilst awaiting a new rc to arrive I programmed that extension to work off the other rc meaning both switched together. A short term annoyance I could manage with.
However once I programmed in the new rc it still worked off the other :cursing:
Just discovered the button that it says on the extension to press for 4 minutes to reset actually has to be pressed for at least 10 minutes to clear any rc coding stored in it.

Cool, grey and murky here.

Slept well, but still feel meh. Really chesty and snotty and feel so very tired. Tea is fine, the idea of food is not. Knee is still stiff, but at least the pain down the side is subsiding. Am still having to favour my knee while walking, though.

I have topped up all the wood bins in the house however, as it's getting to the point where the fire is needed in the evenings. I have also turned the storage heater up to half.

Been editing some writing to help me take my mind off things.

Survived the Markets - actually had a good mooch about Town. Some right characters out there but all good ! Other that a couple of snack stops, MrsF got some local bee produce - honey and bees wax (wax for sewing), we didn't spend much in there, preferring to pop into a couple of establishments for a bit of warmth and beer/food. 14,000 steps later...
