Excellent ride that was planned for a circuit of Pitsford Res with a coffee at the café there.
Plan 'B' happened and we decided to go to the Waterloo Café near Market Harborough instead.
Luckily, as we arrived at 15:45 and they close at 15:30, they took pity on us and let the three if us in for coffee & cake 👌
Ended up on 27 miles down a pitch dark Brampton Valley Way.. We all had decent lights, though 👍

Could be worse. Northern are saying their business is moving people so they are going to use more rail replacement buses. And they are under Government control.
I've got two trips in the 2nd half of November that involve using Northern Rail trains...

In better news, Greater Anglia have already paid up on Wednesday's delay (full refund of the outbound ticket) so that money has been spent on the entrance ticket for Sunday's final race meeting at Silverstone (the Walter Hayes Trophy)

No fireworks here, and a fraction of the usual hordes of toddlers, kids & teens.
Loads of treats left.

Work visits this afternoon and as I drove round Brimham Rocks on the Way of the Roses, devoid of cyclist's, the sun made an appearance. Stayed out until I headed south on the A61. Called in at the Ripon Morrisons and amongst the purchases picked up two packs of biscuits with 30p off. At the till they came up at half price.
Washing did get hung out but hadn't properly dried so the half of it is in the spin dryer.

Fond memories of Brimham, before we got posted off to parts foreign

had a business meeting this morning. all about how our single vendor is messing things up & how to handle angry customers ... :banghead:

My heart hurts for you!

Think big and invite him to come and look over the edge with you.
Suggest that you have thought about it and are fully willing to hold their hand and jump.
Have a plan B that will surprise everyone in the market.
Spent several years grappling with a total cods of an agreement with a sole distributor. Eventually secured a suitable tension in the relationship where predecessors had caved in.
