DPD have 15 minutes left to deliver.

Unable to find my garden fence to chuck the parcel over, DPD have decided to send me a ''Sorry we missed you'' message.

Well I went to local auctions this morning bid on a bike and it went for double what I was prepared to pay , seeing as it a free hub issue as no drive when turning pedals and cables were rusty so someone will be spending a few quid getting it Mobile .
We went to a local garden centre for some brunch wow how do people justify spending ÂŁ14 on a pot of tea , sausage bap and two slices of fruit bread

It's a mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after a murky start.

Slept better, but still not brilliant. My right ankle is very owie. I slept in some, and then spent the rest of the morning adding details to the plot layout for the current and upcoming chapters. I find that if you add too much detail too early on, it doesn't give you enough wiggle room for character development and moments of insight, even if the route from A to B and onwards is already set in stone.

This afternoon, I shall pop round to a friend's place with her share of the vegetables from last night's yellow stickering.

It is almost time for luncheon.

Wind and drizzle have never let up all day so just as well I got out yesterday on a trike.
Bread made and food for tomorrow out of the freezer to defrost in the fridge.

Looking in cupboards for stuff to chuck out and found jeans which we used to sell in our shop. Looked ok but a bit crumpled so horrors I will have to iron them if I decide to wear them. I prefer a cargo pocket nowadays as it is handy for specs and credit card when away from home but I will manage somehow.

Out for a walk a couple of days ago and noticed this sign. Touroid ignore such thing anyway but the farm at the end must be a bit fed up with vehicles turning. On my google map there is no connection to the lighthouse shown so they perhaps just made that bit up.
If we had a lot of orders to do in our workshop we put up a sign which said clearly “ No public access”.
This was immediately treated as a challenge and as they were touroid it was not applicable.
The latter statement was voiced quite a few times when we told them politely to eff off.

Cannibal?
When having old friends for dinner, it’s important to remember they should be slow roasted, or braised, as they have a tendency to be tough. Since you’re using a long, slow method of cooking them, I’d recommend some type of root vegetable.

A young, bright wine would nicely complement the dinner.

Some type of tart, lemony dessert would nicely round out the meal and counter-balance the warmth and sweetness of the old friend.

"For dinner?"
Cooked, boiled, roasted or deep fried?
What an excellent way to celebrate a friendship.

Will you make a liver pate so there is something to remember them by?

Work visits this afternoon and as I drove round Brimham Rocks on the Way of the Roses, devoid of cyclist's, the sun made an appearance. Stayed out until I headed south on the A61. Called in at the Ripon Morrisons and amongst the purchases picked up two packs of biscuits with 30p off. At the till they came up at half price.
Washing did get hung out but hadn't properly dried so the half of it is in the spin dryer.
