Had a late night. My wife's friend phoned last night to say that she thought she broke her leg. She is over 80. My wife went round after getting out of bed. I followed on after locking up our house. We found her sitting on the floor unable to move. The ambulance had been called but we're told that they wouldn't arrive for 4 hours. My wife just rang . No ambulance and they haven't had any sleep. I'm about to go round .

My wife just rang. No need for me to pop round, another friend who is an ex nurse is popping round to help. No urgency for an ambulance as she is sitting on the floor and talking.

Another day like yesterday but with dense fog so not going anywhere.
Disaster as one of my bathroom lights failed in the middle of the night as I went to the loo. Not only is it three feet above my head as I have very high ceilings but it is a fitment of a type I have no experience of and there is no obvious way of getting the bulb out.
When I felt like getting out of bed my clock/radio was flashing so there appeared to have been a power failure. In addition the microwave had reset itself at zero. On single phase I cannot see any connection but probably just coincidence.
Need to get my head torch handy by the bedside as the other bathroom light will probably follow soon.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's a partly cloudy start to the day with the sun occasionally peeking through, not liking what it sees and going back into hiding. Coffee has been had and a second one will follow shortly.
Up and about early as I was expecting the bath replacement people to arrive about an hour ago, but nothing has been seen or heard from them yet - let's see what happens. Plenty of other things to be done today as it's pay (pension) day - gig ticket & associated hotel in Nottingham to be sorted, deposit for the solar system installation to be paid and contents insurance claim to be submitted for the bath damage.

I discovered this morning why bottles don't go into the Merida Cyclo-Cross' bottle cage properly; it's cracked.
Finding a yellow and silver bottle cage as a replacement is nigh on impossible.
