Good morning. Tinybug is on holiday and has expressed an interest in the Stuttgart Tram Museum.

We went to the museum. There was a large scale model railway, connected to a genuine driving regulator from an old tram, so when Tinybug turned the lever the model responded accordingly, she was absolutely hooked. After this, the old tram with doors working from a push button she could climb into and explore was a firm favourite.

Also, there was a lantern making workshop, so we were well occupied for two hours...

My father had a pile operation, he said the worst bit was having the packing pulled out the morning after. It was weeks before he could walk more than a few yards, or go back to work. I was expecting my bowel surgery to be much the same, but it wasn't.

Rachel Reeves is scrapping the state pension, haven't you heard?

It would not surprise me but better stay off politics.
Tory leader in Scotland says we would welcome the end of free prescriptions.
One of these statements is true.

Edit to add I did not mean we would welcome the end of free prescriptions but rather that the idiot actually said it.

It's rumoured, discretely that there will be a ferry from Alba to the dark side. Known as code for the EU.
Unreliable source and totally deniable of course

The small coasters we used to get from Scotland to Europe carried 12 passengers and you could land or get picked up anywhere depending on what cargo the ship was carrying.
For example we arrived at Antwerp but had to cycle to Dunkirk to board for our return trip. On that occasion it went to Leith but could have been Middlesburgh which would not be very handy.

First walk just up and down driveway.Oh the sun is lovely.George has been to see me,and had coffee.Just a bit of pulling,so right no more moaning and no more reports.it's boring you all.

Don't try to do too much.
After I had a kidney out I used to walk or stagger along the street for about 100 yards and then had to stop and sit on a wall outside the Hydro Board shop until I felt able to do the return journey. The girl in the shop told me later she was terrified as she was scared I would die on her doorstep.

Plumbers been to fix my lounge radiator whose adjustable valve leaks when put on full.
Snag its next to the TV so that what one rush job before work at home moving it; Freesat/Freeview TV, two Freeview PVRs, a Freesat PVR and distributor cables to other TVs plus router and answer phone.
Have managed to lash together enough to get the kitchen TV working but having had the idea of sticking the Freeview multi way splitter to the TV stand rather than being on the floor really need to get a longer lead. Car trip to B&Q coming up and that clock to reset. Edit make that Screwfix.

A damp day but no wind.
Six meals of minced beef now in boxes in the freezer.
Took a few things down from my top shed but not for dumping just dry winter storage.
The house sparrows seem to have vanished. We had a large flock earlier and they congregated in the shrubs beside my front path. A pair of blue tits there and a wren in the top garden is all that can be seen.

Our main ferry MV Isle of Mull is off for it's annual overhaul and we have LOTI { Lord of the Isles} standing in . A good boat but the passenger lift is not currently working.
I came back from Lochboisdale on her once on a windy day and went to get breakfast when we were off Rum as they do the best breakfast of any of the Calmac ships.
Nobody else was in the cafeteria and while waiting on my order we hit a particularly big wave followed by crashing noises from the kitchen then a shout "Yeeha". Never thought much about it at the time but later noticed a few grey faces heading for the toilets. I will admit to never having been seasick even on rough crossings to Shetland but others seem to prone to that affliction.

Had a lovely luncheon of polish sausage on toast, a nectarine and a :cuppa:

Errands have been erranded. I had a mosey in the butcher's to see if there was anything I might like to stick in the freezer, but not this time. Although he does have some very nice-looking black pudding in stock.

Soft plastics taken to Tesco. Stocked up on the stuff I wanted, and picked up BBQ sauce, hot sauce, organic single cream, some pears and two packs of green beans on yellow sticker.

Now plan on having a quiet evening.
