Bedding was changed earlier and I was considering popping out for a while while the washing machine did its thing only to spot that very fine drizzle in the air even though nothing was showing on the rain radar.
Now comfortable on the sofa with a mug of coffee and will see what the weather's doing in half an hour.

We enjoyed cycling in Belgium and Antwerp was interesting as that is where we first landed off a passenger/cargo ship from Leith. Sadly that service is long gone.
The tunnel under the river was "interesting" as the elevator did not work and we had to go down the escalator with laden touring bikes. My wife had difficulty hold hers but fortunately a quick witted guy behind held on to it to stop a pile up if she lost control.
That was a looong time ago.

It's rumoured, discretely that there will be a ferry from Alba to the dark side. Known as code for the EU.
Unreliable source and totally deniable of course

Grey and drizzly here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not have the best night's sleep. Seemed to only doze and as a result, feel rather meh today. I have spent the morning writing. This afternoon I have to go into town to run a few errands. While I'm there, I shall pop to Tesco to recycle the soft plastics and restock on things like bog roll, kitchen roll, laundry soap, washing up liquid etc.

I do not need to cook tonight as there is pasta bake in the fridge.

It is almost time for luncheon.

Not quite the same but a friend who was a GP told me that after her op for piles the first bowel movement felt like passing a red hot cannonball wrapped in barbed wire.
My father had a pile operation, he said the worst bit was having the packing pulled out the morning after. It was weeks before he could walk more than a few yards, or go back to work. I was expecting my bowel surgery to be much the same, but it wasn't.
Why is the retirement thread closed.?

Looks for all the world like our freezers kicked it. Top shelf won't freeze after the door was left slightly ajar last night (accidentally of course). Dont really understand why it didn't alarm but now I can't hear the compressor running...looks fubared. Bugger, of course it's full....

You might need to completely defrost it if it is anything like our Miele. Something to do with air flow.
