Looks like this local moggie was enjoying a good drink of rainwater out of the black bucket on our patio.

We had one just like that but she only had three legs after losing a front one to a gin trap.
The other one we had only had one eye after a cat fight and the pair used to sit on our front wall beside the car park and be admired by the bus parties as "disabled" moggies.

Blue and Brown bin day today, our close looks forward to the colourful bin days Black bins are so not us.
We save our more colourful (well, brown and black with a blue lid) bins for alternate weeks. Too exiting to put out every week!
I read somewhere that adding salt to coffee reduced the bitterness. So I just tried it to absolutely no effect. I'm going to have a second (salt-free) coffee now.
That is assuming that the coffee is bitter in the first place, possibly? 🤔 😂

Good morning from Suffolk where, after a grey and miserable start to the day, it's brightening up nicely. Coffee has been had and this morning's breakfast choice was porridge.

Nothing to do today and if I'd known it was going to be this nice I'd have got going earlier and disappeared somewhere in the car or on the train with a bike for a few hours in the countryside. Oh well, let's see what happens later.

A warm and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after the overnight rain.

Slept much better, but still feel tired / stressed. So I have had a quiet morning listening to the cricket. I also put a new battery in the wall clock in the bathroom. The nail it hangs on fell out - I heard it drop but can't find it. So had to find a replacement. I had a few screws in the kitchen "bits" drawer, and one ended up being just right.

I have to go to Tesco this afternoon to get some bits for Saturday, but I will go out in about an hour rather than for final reductions, so that I can have a nice, quiet evening.

Almost time for luncheon. Unlike yesterday, I am a little peckish.

I have fauna in the back garden that is shedding leaves while budding flowers. It’s one of those that likes acidic soil so you are supposed to put special soil in every now and again. It has orange flowers but I can’t remember the name but I remember ‘Azz’ sounding in its name.

Azalea? 🌸
