That is my view as well. People have always known I tend to adopt the most exuberant dog at the shelter, and that they will be leapt upon by D'eau D'eau, Ajax and Achilles, Melissa, Sophia, Maximillian, Hildi, or Gigi dependent upon the era, Gigi being the current occupant of the office of official greeter.
I should have one of those signs that say
"No Trespassing-My dog can make it to the fence in 2.5 seconds... Can you?"

And I'm resigned to have frayed fabric on my armchairs and pinholes in my clothes. If I wanted everything to be pristine, I wouldn't have cats. Besides, the benefits of sharing your life with a companion animal far outweighs such minor inconveniences.

I'm going to have an early one.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:

Morning. I had a terrible night. Hardly slept, had to keep swallowing as liquid was trickling down the back of my throat, coughing. I don't know if it is the result of my injections.
Better news. I boughted another bike yesterday. I've gone over to the dark side for a while and bought a 2012 Specialized Allez. It is in very good condition , the wheels have buckles which I will have a look at. It's a pretty red one .

Spare a thought for the residents of Bingen-am-Rhein for whom every day is a bin day

Another nice morning for the perambulation. More Scottish touroid buses outside the hotel. I guess they come here for the sunny weather!

It makes me hungry to look in the hotel window and see them all eating their fried breakfasts.:hungry:

All ready for another day's gainful employment.

Don't like the principle behind self-service, as it's being used now. Fewer staff needed, meaning you're now an unpaid staff member*.
Should any store go all self-service, what happens when, like yesterday, they all go down at the same time?
Training staff up on the job is impossible, and any transactions partway through can't be voided. Nor can they guarantee you'll not be charged for one that didn't go through.

*I'd expect a discount for doing store work, but that's one early promise that's never been delivered on.

I agree wholeheartedly. I will not use self service tills and Aldi in Oban have just introduced them.
Lidl encourage people to use them but have never hesitated in opening a normal one when asked.
