Girly pamper session and then bed.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:

So if you get a new fridge with an ice maker you are supposed to “purge” the water system… wonder why…

It's been a mild and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Treated myself to sitting in the sun on a bench in the community orchard this morning. I made friends with a lovely Irish Wolfhound. I've not met one before, and goodness me, they are huge. But this girl was so friendly, and absolutely loved her head skritches. Lovely dog. Also made friends with a Clumber Spaniel who was fascinated by my basket. I picked a few late season apples and some medlars as well. It was lovely to get out for a bit.

Had luncheon and a nap, and then went to investigate some more walnut spots, but both turned up a blank. One has been picked clean by Humans, and the other by rooks - who are incredibly fond of walnuts. The ground under that second tree was covered in smashed shells, so they've obviously had a ball.

Soup and bread & butter for supper, and now just sat chilling in the company of Madam Lexi.

Yep a guy I know over in Enderby had a Wolfhound called 'Clancy', he was like a pit pony. Also when my GSD was about 9 months old we met a guy with one on the park it was the only dog that made my Sabor look like a puppy.

Morning.
We have some cloud which has it grey and pink outside.
I'm still recovering from a nightmare I had in the night. I was working back in an old garage where I used to work. I found that I couldn't work but just did some sweeping up. I was on the verge of quitting. I don't know if it had anything to do with welding up a motorbike exhaust for a friend or not. I seem to have suddenly been swamped with welding jobs.
But I'm retired!

Following on from me not feeling well and having tests I have now got a memory test coming up. Along with the letter came from for my wife to fill in. Some of the questions are a bit OTT. Can I dress myself? Can I go shopping? Well it has been a long time now as COVID messed things up. I've never been very good at it . The race between the cashier and you trying to pack things away tended to terrify me. I just bought a handful of stuff and rammed it in. The new self service tills I totally avoid. I'm not employed by them!

I never use self service tills since we jammed the system in Asda in Aberdeen a few years ago. If they [Lidl] will not man [or woman] a till I am prepared to just abandon the trolley of goods. Never had to so far.

Things can only get better surely.
Grey day and a bit windy but not gales tho' gales are forecast for this afternoon further north and Calmac are threatening cancellations.
However to add to their woes the Fishnish/Lochaline ferry has broken down.
Still not got my new tickets for tomorrow's rescheduled sailing which worries me a bit.
I just want to get home tho' I have to be back end of next week for another hospital appointment. That appointment is not for a life threatening condition so I could cancel but I already have the ferry tickets and will lose the cash if I do not turn up. Cancelling would have the same effect and while not too bad I grudge losing it because of Calmac problems.
