I think I'm going to have my walking day earlier in the week - didn't check the Octopus app before leaving home and found out when I got into town that all the hot drink freebies had already been claimed.
Shopping done regardless and food has been prepared for Saturday and Sunday which will be mostly spent trackside at Snetterton (weather dependant)

Clear sky. Looks like it might be a nice day.
I hope to get out on a bike today. My mileage has dropped off recently, I was hoping to stay ahead of the months but it might drop with October approaching.

I must be bored as I am looking at last years cycling magazine at the expensive bikes and how light their bikes are. I'm still in the lightening process of drilling holes, frame tyres. My lightening has reached new heights since I filled my tyres with helium! I only wish I could get my bike down from the ceiling!

Do councillors live in e real world?
I was at our museum yesterday and discovered that there are plans to pedestrianised a road in the centre of town. This area is used as a small parking space so that will go. There are small shops and cafes nearby where people who park can dash in. There are plans for the area where a Tesco supermarket used to be to be turned into over 200 homes. This will take up the upper car park, the lower parking space to be shared with home owners and public. So when the builders move in all that space will be taken up.
My wife just told me that the people who owned the site forced Tesco out by raising the rent . The shop is now empty and they are trying to rent the space out !
Talk about killing the goose which layed the golden egg!

Good morning from Suffolk where, for the first time in a few days, I'm pleased to say that it's a bright and sunny start to the day. It's also a very chilly one which required the wearing of the fleece dressing gown while making the morning coffee.
Once the coffee has been finished all I've got to do is have a quick breakfast, make a flask of coffee, retrieve the bottle of squash and snacks from the fridge and then I'm off to Snetterton for the first day of the Classic Sports Car Club two day meeting. A bike will be taken in the boot of the car as usual just in case, but I've no plans for a ride.

Another dreich morning, although there are tiny signs of a breakthrough of blue somewhere over yonder.

Waiting to discover if I get a round, square or rectangular plate for breakfast.

Listening to the new Beatles song again. They must really like it as it's forever on their playlist.

Change in weather this morning with misty low cloud and an easterly wind. Outside temp shown as 5.9C but not sure how accurate that is.
Got up to blue flashing lights outside which took me back to that terrible morning 9 years ago next week when my wife of nearly 60 years was taken off and never returned home. She was declared dead 36 hours later.
It is still in my memory and seems like only last month.
This occasion was a neighbour but not sure who as I did not stand and watch.
