Beautiful sunny day with no wind. The surface of the Sound is like glass.

Decided to go for a forest road on the trike with nobody to disturb me apart from one character playing on a quad bike illegally but he was not a serious nuisance. Pedal cycles are ok but motor bikes of any kind are not allowed.

Patient transport has turned me down but not directly. They phoned my DIL as they must have had her number on file from a previous encounter.
The family are aghast that I would attempt to drive myself to Paisley but nothing can be done now as everything shuts down at 4pm today until Monday morning.
Oban hospital do CT scans but this may be too specialised. I need to start some serious phoning on Monday but getting to anyone who knows anything useful may be difficult.

Photo of upper Tobermory which is a view not many will see. The track finishes there and the surface is possible if taken slowly.

Nice little 25 mile ride completed. Unbelievably hot. I probably would have gone further but I have my poetry night tonight and wanted to be back in time to get some food and cleaned up first.

I had a visit to the office after work as well to pick up a few things so that is an additional four mile walk fitted in today. I took a walk around the canteen to see if I seen anyone I know and didn't recognise anyone! It's a crazy world nowadays.

Right that's the rest of the bulbs planted, and just had time for a quick walk round the block. Before setting off to pick up Mrs 73 from the station. Turns out id need not rush Just had a message from her the train in front has broken down. So hers is stuck and about 10 mins late.
So time for another :cuppa: before I need to go.

One of life's pleasant little surprises. I opened my Patrick Kavanagh book for the first time in ages and found €200. No idea why I had put it there but always nice to find money. 😁
"Signed" by Willem F. Duisenberg?
Picture of a bridge on the reverse?

I lost one of those, thank goodness someone found it.

Had a lovely luncheon of a roll filled with cheddar and salami cacciatore, plus an apple, half a punnet of raspberries and two :cuppa:

Once luncheon had tamped down, I went off with Wiggy #2, the Chartres (who was wearing both panniers) and pootled off to the aforementioned walnut tree. It's about a 45 minute ride from here, albeit not rushing. Managed to fill both panniers about halfway, which was nice, as it's so much easier cycling with an even load. The nuts are only just starting to drop, so there will be more trips planned.

My legs though, are jingle jangling from the nettles, as cycling tights are definitely NOT nettle-proof. I just didn't want to cycle in jeans, especially given how warm it's been. My fingers are also tingling from the nettles. I also had to de-burr myself before riding home. Ah well, hey ho LOL!

The cat has been fed, and soon it will be time to feed me.
