There's Heinz baked beans flavour! if you prefer that!

Anything is better than orange.

The Pastel de Nata flavour was not as good as a proper pastel de nata

Clouding over now as I think the next couple of days are forecast to be rainy.

My rest day turned out to be not very restful.
I have a hall cupboard which has a standby chest freezer but it has become rather congested in there and if the freezer had to be used it would be a problem. It used to be kept for mackerel mainly in the days when I had my own boat and fished regularly.
Set about clearing out all sorts of rubbish which took a lot of work but it is now at least in better condition if the freezer is required in emergency.
The bread machine produced a very acceptable loaf. There was a run of rather duff ones which I blamed on a bad batch of flour. Turned out correct as this latter one is different flour.

Tomorrow I have to pay the garage for the new brake pads which is not as expensive as I feared and the medical centre for a travel expense claim form for my next hospital visit.
Island residents get most reasonable expenses paid for hospital visits beyond Oban. Oban hospital you bear the cost yourself.

An animal is trying to get into my compost bins.

In addition to a large wooden bin, I have two of those green "dome" plastic ones with the small door at the base. The first time, the cuprit removed the door completely and scattered the compost over a wide area. On the second attempt they moved the doors to the side and again made a big mess.

I do not want to harm the squirrel or the fox that is doing this. So I have put obstacles in the way of the little doors. One has two bricks in front of it, just one row so that the digger does not dislodge a brick and hurt his or her feet or legs. The other has a small pile of short and lightweight bit of branches etc.

Has anyone got any other suggestions?

A warm, mostly sunny and rather humid day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept ok-ish, had a bit of a lie in. Did almost diddly squat. Watched the MTB, listened to the F1 and watched some action from Paris. At least the heffalumps have stopped doing a clog dance on my middle. Well, they've swapped the clogs for ballet shoes, I think...

The only constructive things I've done is make an apple crumble and score a pair of stock car programmes on the 'bay.

Oh yeah, and the crumble was :hungry:
