I'm not in Scotland.
2 Montine, 1 Mirexal, 1 Lorus, and one watch that has a logo but no name. I don't know if any of them work.
What can be done to a grapefruit to make it nice?

Turn it into marmalade!

The Lorus is more than likely to be a quartz, but the Montines and the Mirexal might well be mechanical. Just give the crowns a few twists clockwise, and hopefully they'll start chuntering away.
Montine were largely made for the UK duty free market and were also sold in catalogues. Mirexals on the other hand are pretty decent, usually fitted with Adolf Schild or ETA movements. Better know for their divers, but their dress and ladies watches aren't half bad - just good, solid Swiss-made watches. Nothing fancypants, but not bargain basement either.
It is nice when a plan works out. I recently bought another bike.
"Who Me!"
Biggsy pointed it out to me and it was only at Bathwick so I naturally popped along and bought it. It had a minor problem. The R/h rear dropout had snapped in half. Yesterday I set about welding the two bits back together. The wheel now fits. I just have to finish cleaning up the repair.
