To add to the good start to August, the comparison site I ended up going through had a £20 voucher offer on completion of the deal. This was activated earlier (I'd opted for Sainsbury's) so the weekend's food has cost me nothing and there was some credit left over for a couple of beers - one of which I've just enjoyed in the warmth of the garden.

Some cloud cover has come over so it's tim to go indoors and cook tea (sausages, baby potatoes and peas).

Rained pretty hard all day but now clearing up a bit.
Glad I was not down at Bunessan Show as the car parking entrance gets pretty boggy and getting out can be a problem. Nobody likes giving a push either as you can get covered in mud from spinning wheels.
How do I know this?

Thought I would have look at the political side to pass the time today. I can look but cannot comment unless logged in.
Password I had in the past does not work so try to get another but have to prove I am not a robot.
This should be easy but there is a picture of a ball and you have to mark all those things smaller than a ball with no dimensions.
No chance and all the alternative ones are so obscure to my eyesight at least that they are impossible.
How does anyone ever manage to get access?

Overcast early doors today, but it's turned into a lovely sunny summer's evening.

Did not sleep well. Spent the morning writing (have successfully solved an issue with the current chapter) and watching the action from Paris.

Lovely luncheon of a cheese & salami sandwich, a flat peach, an apple, some strawberries and two :cuppa:

An afternoon spent doing more of what I did this morning, albeit outside in the garden to escape the parental watching Tipping Point. Have just watered all the planters and now have a portion of my Min Spy ice cream. :hungry:

Evening Co-op trek delayed by misplaced wallet. By the time I found it I had found a bag of loose change that I thought I had lost and the missing sock from this mornings wash. Got lightly rained on twice on the return but still decided to water the plants

Weather was horrible most of the day.

I went to visit a maritime museum that I had been meaning to visit forba very long time which was interesting and i learnt a lot and seen a lot of exhibits including weird obscure things like a toilet cistern handle from the SS Laurentic. The wreck of the Laurentic has always been a popular site with divers as she went down with £5M in gold bullion but stole bits from the toilet?

I then continued along the coast, managed to fit a walk on a beach in between the showers as I didn't have appropriate apparel for a beach walk in August as I had left my woolly hat, scarf, overcoat and Wellingtons at home.

I then did a little reconnaissance for a possible weekend overnight cycle tour at some point before winter. The weather then suddenly improved as I was driving home and is glorious now.
