Coming back from the morning walk I was met with a sight I've not seen in years. Mrs 73 in a nurses dress , it's been a good few years since she's work anywhere that have given her the option of having one. She's always taken the option up as she likes a change and the option when it's a warm day. She'd dug out her belt a few week ago I bought her a buckle when she 1st became a sister, It's from 1850 so must have seen some action over the years.

I'd be shooting against the prevailing wind...

Isn't that rather rude?

Yayyyyyyyyyy! I finally have a new fridge freezer!

Good job I bolted my luncheon in a hurry, as they turned up nearly half an hour early. Two lovely young chaps (who turned down the offer of a :cuppa: and biskit) that did everything professionally and without fuss. Both the old fridge and freezer have gone for recycling, as has the packaging. Kudos to John Lewis.

Will turn it on in the morning (have been advised to leave it for a minimum of 4 hours before turning it on), and then I can go and retrieve the remainder of my stuff from a friend's fridge and freezer tomorrow evening.

Always found JL white goods delivery & installation superb.

Change of plan. Just as I switched the laptop on to WAH my mobile rang with a "Private Number" which invariably means the hospital. Can you come in now instead of this afternoon, er yes. Coffee quickly drunk and the 9:10 bus caught which thereafter quickly came standing room only. Only a short wait for a bus to the hospital and immediately vampired. Took a coloured plaster with me so now have a dense white plaster on my exposed arm with a T shirt on rather than cotton wool and tape.
Bus back nicely did not have an immediate connection homewards allowing time to nip into M&S for a couple of bananas and iced buns.

Mrs 73 is in for a interesting day. One it's a test match, GP's , pharmacy , some part of hospitals are effected by the IT issue. They are likely to be getting a lot more people coming in door. She's now messaged me and they are effected too. So guess the waiting time targets are out the window. She's got to have a full on time treating people and tracking all this. Be a lot of paper FP10's being dragged out the cupboard today.

Mrs Tkk has a small ceramic pot with her enamel nursing badge and other nursing pins. Granddaughter found it and was fascinated by it.

Same here Mrs 73 has a collection of different pins which she changers from time to time. She still wears her enamel one every at day work its been in the wash many times. The pin broke off a few years ago, it was at the time the uni had stopped going nursing. So no hope of getting a new one. So I ended up having use some Milliput to fix it back on. It looks a bit of sight but is holding well.
The uni do nursing again so she could get a new one but it won't be same.
