Time to get the laptop fired up and get all set up to watch our granddaughter and the rest of the competitors in the Dance world cup.

Than it's across to my parents for a family get together to celebrate dad's 95,th birthday last week.

Overcast; 3.2 mile Aldi and Screwfix trek. The carpet trimming yesterday had seen off the last of my pack of unused heavy duty blades so invested in pack of ten.

Unsurprisingly I was their only customer whilst there for 45 minutes.

Yes. Desford was once a mining village.A lot of farm land surrounded the village which is now rapidly disappearing under bricks and mortar

Similar to the area between LFE and Desford and almost up to Enderby to build (new) Lubbesthorpe. The big landowner of the former ;Drummond' estate sold to developers, maybe they'll find a use/buyer for that golf club and country club that was a front for drug money on Beggers Lane (they found large 'caches' of drugs buried all over the course)
