We have hail.

This morning's walk got rather wet in the end.

Floods...of milk, swimming in the fridge door. One of the 2 pints bought this morning leaking at the bottom. Fortunately had a empty one washed out still in the kitchen having not made it to the recycling bin so un-squashed and filled up. Excess of opened milk to use up as I opened a new 2 pints first thing so another loaf being made; 450ml accounted for, bread and butter pudding planned for tomorrow (100ml) and fish pie for Sunday (150ml) should help. Maybe another loaf on Sunday.

Sometimes the supermarket racks they are in make a tiny hole in the bottom. Once saw on in the rack that had leaked from the bottom, but no air could enter. It had crushed itself.

This arrived today; My "Germany Ticket" as a card, giving unlimited travel on local transport throughout Germany. As this includes interregional trains you can go quite a long way.

I've had one of these pretty much since they were first issued post Corona to help reduce inflation. People are always surprised how little of Germany is digitised, and up until now the ticket came as a paper version which changed each month. This caused all manner of problems when I forgot to change to the new version but thankfully now all that is behind me.

It really has "Andy in Germany" on it?
The QR code appears to have text behind it.

Turned out a lovely sunny afternoon but still cold.
Everything seems to be in sharp focus these last few days. I think it must be a change in the light and not my eyesight.

Today was a bit wasted anyway as I had to go to what my wife called "that hell hole" in Craignure to see a consultant. Very cheerful wee man and we had a few jokes which is a good sign IMO.

I have now been referred to a haematologist and as they no longer go to Oban for consultations I will have to go to Glasgow at what was known as the Death Star or also known as Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
It seems I am very anaemic for no obvious reason which puts my proposed new heart valve back a bit.
That now makes two Glasgow visits but how to get there is still not settled.
One of the disadvantages of living here.
In the past when my wife or myself had Glasgow hospital visits it took three days with two nights in a Premier Inn at Dumbarton usually. We got part expenses so not too expensive. The B & B rate was £37.50 per person per night and as I was her escort I got that also. Cannot remember the mileage rate for car transport but the car fare was paid on the ferry also.
