Good news from the front garden - I thought the plants that were budding out in January due to the mild weather had been killed off due to the period of cold weather we had in early February, but close inspection while weeding the border has shown that most of them have started to show some new buds.

30km new variant route in the sunshine.
Was supposed to be 20km but between Komoot's eccentricity and me missing a turning it got extended.
Also I thought I knew where I was.

Is there a recalculate route option on Komoot?

You can edit a ride or replan it, at least on the pc. Agree it does have some routing eccentricity, have to force it route north on the A61 which it takes every opportunity to avoid yet north east from Dishforth it immediately uses the almost motorway A168 link from the A1(M) when there is an alternative available.

Today's walk was chilly, but ground is still quite warm so mostly not icy underfoot.

Two hours of enjoyment at the local Toby Carvery.A good breakfast and three lattes,the first one came with the brekkie,all in all a grand morning.Good value also.

Does that with the A2 and the Thanet Expressway. Then there are bits of road it doesn't seem to know exist.

And not that it changes anything at all, but an hour spent splitting firewood whilst pretending it's someone's head has been VERY therapeutic.

It's sort of OK until you start naming the blocks of timber. Then you need to think about some therapy.

Afternoon walk to B&Q to dispose of an old kettle in the recycling bin. Sunny but chilly and the coats hood eventually deployed. Then into Aldi for a few bits which annoyed me on the return by the amount of noise from the rucksack. Bit puzzled as all there was were plastic wrapped soft goods, a box of sweets and a cold dessert. Decided it must have been the foil top of the dessert so put that in the separate compartment and quietness desended aside from a squeaky shoe sole. A touch warmer on the return and hood not used.

Very nice indeed! Was thinking of bobbing over to see my old mates at Easter £1250 on Cathay, gulp! I'm sure it was around £700 last time we went in 2016?

Replaced one ceiling bulb that was doing morse code signals rurned them on to check the new one was working ok and sure enough it was but another one doing the morse code so replaced that one as well all spare ones used

It's been sunny here this afternoon. I have been resting and then digging in a cupboard . It is a walk in one . Well! It would be if I didn't have so much stuff in it . I found what I was looking for right at the back at the bottom . I did find 3 saddles that I had forgotten about though.

Mrs P has had a sudden transformation today.Up with some bounce,she has just ordered a KFC i am getting the chips,plus we are going out tomorrow for our evening meal.Things are looking up.

This morning I was trying to think of the Avengers girl's names . I knew who the actresses were it was just their stage names . I could name 2 it was Honor Blackman's name which was giving me a problem . I got the first bit right. I just looked it up .
