Had a lovely four mile walk. I love this weather. Shame I have to work and it's to be getting warmer at the weekend.

Any snowball fights going on?

One minor home fettle I keep forgetting about is to descale the shower head as I'm in a hard water area and water flow is bad enough as it is. To remedy this I put the bottle of descaler and some cling film (to stop the descaler leaking) into the bathroom sink so I couldn't forget to do it after the shower.

Also I decided to go out for a bike ride instead of a walk this afternoon - with the temperature never getting to 2°C there's a few parts of me that wished I hadn't. Mind you, I've got this to look forward to on the first day back to work next week...

I saw the Biffa-liveried class 66 Loco go past Tuesday while I was on firewood duty out the back of the garden.

Managed a 20km pre lunch outing around the back lanes. Sunshine, great views.

Time to visit the Land of Nod. I've got my snow tyres fitted and windows defrosted.

Naturally I have a full tank of petrol, jump leads, a flask of hot soup, blanket, a shovel, some old sacks and a bag of sand in case I get stuck.
