Have started reading Great Expectations again. Am now constantly thinking of my Estrella bike as Estella. (Currently in the LBS getting its Ultegra cranks checked).
Got out on my Kinesis for a couple of hours this morning, saw some unexpected sun.
Watched the cross on GCN this afternoon, now waiting for Strictly to start.

Ah, sorry about my absence folks, but I had a couple of unplanned preserve-making sessions, what with a bunch of tomatoes and a load of apples that needed using. I am now in possession of a batch of tomato chutney and a batch of apple butter. The hose smells absolutely wonderful.

Anyways, I've fed the cat, and soon it will be time to feed me.

I've just realised that the clock in my car will be on the right time from tomorrow for the next six months!

Mine is the same, then changes randomly to the wrong time - it's GPS linked, but since the GPS updates a few years ago, it only stays on the UK time for a while, then seems to pick up Europe and is an hour out again.

I discovered that my shower wall mounting broke this morning that it was made of something rather fragile called Chromette. It's plastic coated with something that looks like metal. I think I'll be scouring Screwfix's website for a proper metal one.

Betcha the replacement piece will be at least half of the price of the shower mount set itself.

How do electrical cables so get tangled? Spent ages this afternoon sorting out the TV/PVRs wiring in preparation for the arrival of the new TVs. Have a couple of zipped cable tubes coming which should assist in keeping it neat. I blame the spiders.

Ever tried preserving whole tomato’s or drying out apples for use later?

Our evening meal was had in a restaurant where everyone was connected with tomorrow's national hillclimb (Luigi's in Ambleside for reference) - either riding or as support.
