Finally sorted out and just sent a job application off with a day to spare. Spent most of the day off an on with it.I aways find them bring and long winded. Having one that's not formatted right has not helped either so had that to fix along the way.

On the way home from Wymondham, had a more detailed look at the several set of new builds that are going up in the area.
It struck me that with all the hoo ha about saving energy / renewables etc., etc., why aren't solar panels being included as part of the standard build much the same as we now expect cavity wall insulation and double glazing to be - ?
I'm aware that cost can be a sticking point, but surely that can be factored into the price of the respective properties - ?

It was set to being added to building regs but the government axed it.

Picked the first apples of my 'rescue' tree today. Slightly sharp and will be sweeter in a couple of weeks, but I don't have a sweet tooth so it's OK.

Autumn arrived in Norfolk today - it was overcast, cool in the breeze and occasional light showers.
One last night of freedom and then I need to get back into working week mode on Monday

Recycling bin has been put out front ready for emptying on Monday morning and the washing is on the clothes horse in the hope that it will be dry enough for ironing/putting away (as appropriate) whenever I get round to it on Monday.
