Definitely feeling much better today. I drove to the national park for walk. First time I'd been in a while. Managed to fit an 8km walk in without getting wet.

I note the cafe have put the price of their cake up again.

An Audi driver seemed to be annoyed at me for slowing down for the speed limit going through a village.

Time for a :cuppa: and MOTD

Dover-Zeebrugge was about 4 and a half hours, depending on the tides. But one time the weather was really foul, and it took us 12 hours to make the crossing on the old Pride of Bruges (ex-Pride of Free Enterprise). That was weird when we got back onto terra firma.

Did they change the name after the Herald of Free Enterprise went down?

Townsend Thoresen got bought out by P&O shortly after, and all the ships in the fleet were re-named. For instance, the Spirit of Free Enterprise got renamed Pride of Kent, the Free Enterprise VIII became the Pride of Canterbury etc.

Mind you , shortly after, we ended up using the Belgian ferries instead. I sailed on most of their car and passenger ships.
