Weather today totally mixed up as we had some rain but now the sun is shining again.
Went for a walk instead of triking because of the rain and the gale that came with it and then tried to get some prescribed meds from the chemist.
No chance of parking anywhere near and the Blue Badge spaces were occupied by cars with no BB displayed. Fortunately nothing urgent or I would just have double parked and partially blocked the street.
One tip if parking outwith a marked space as has become the habit in the car park is to leave enough space in front to get out as somebody will inevitably come and park against your rear bumper as I witnessed today. They did manage to get out in the end with no damage but it took ages and much swearing and waving of hands. The empty space was filled instantly by a smaller vehicle who waited patiently.
Congestion seems to be getting worse and large motorhomes are a menace. I wonder how many will ever come back.
The local garage has taken to filling the space left when they take a car in for attention using a spare vehicle to make sure they have somewhere to put it when finished.
Does not currently affect me but the passenger lift on the ferry has been fixed. Mebbe they have somebody local as previously they had to wait on a specialist to come probably from Glasgow about 100 miles away.

Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast, one with pate, one with red leicester, plus a pear, some blueberries and the obligatory two :cuppa:

Ironed my white coat and my bag is packed for tomorrow.

Spent the rest of the afternoon working on my archive. All the prints I had done the other day are now mounted, labelled (with whatever information I've been given / managed to find out) and filed. While I had everything out, I took the opportunity to refresh my mind as to which photos have actually been filed, which ones are still outstanding, and then tally how many images there are per individual volume. And in total.

All I can say is... Whoops. :shy:

Monday this week I was committed to 2 weeks of jury service
Monday, we spent all day in a waiting room , for whatever reason, no cases.
Tuesday, half of us were required to turn up, sent home 1 hour later, for whatever reason .no case.
At the same time we were told, no cases for the rest if the week, don't come back till Monday next week.
Just had a text, you are fully discharged from jury service, you no longer have to attend.

Result.

Cat has just been fed. Soon it will be time to feed me.

I had something similar some years ago, Had the letter through the post telling me I was needed for Jury Service and giving the date, underneath that there was a note telling me "I had to be available for at least 12 months", I wrote back telling them I couldn't commit for that length of time and they sent me a letter back discharging me. I haven't been called up since.
