Don't say you weren't warned. I think the downhill MTB course for the World Championships in Scotland was smoother than some of the roads I rode up there a few weeks ago.

I prefer my lemon cake to be classified as a monsoon, rather than drizzle.

Or as my friend Beej puts it, a deluge cake.

There's one of the girls at work makes a lemon drowned cake to die for.

Turn out to be a bit of full on day All this going backwards and forwards means I’ve clocked up 18.5 miles walking today.
I’ve turned round 3 loads of washing, been out with the dog, had to call into town twice, put things back in the bedroom once the gas man had done going the boiler mot.
A bit of general house work and then spent a few hours in the late sunshine finally cutting most of the lawns rest will wait for tomorrow. Made a start on some general weeding. All this rain has really put things behind It’s not over grown but just looks a mess to me. A case of hand weeding and slowly working way though for the next few days. If the weather holds. Steady work now should mean less later.

A ticket has been purchased for Saturday's Bentley Drivers' Club race meeting at Silverstone on Saturday. Now all I need to do is change the badge on my Mazda and try to convince them it's a coachbuilt special.

Didn't make Freiburg but did finally contact someone in town who has connections with local artists and asked about theatre. He's given me three contacts, including one working on a project with people with psychological issues...

It turns out that although one can procure Proper Tea and Marmite online, it is still not possible to order Irn Bru in Germany, showing that we still have some way to go before it can join the civilised nations.
