I remember seeing one near junior high school, but green, so 1972 or so for mine, but in The States.

The car I remember was orange, like the one in question. If I remember rightly the owner was offering rides around the beach for about 50p, which would be about a tenner these days.

Thinking about it now, the one I remember from Weston-Super-Mare might've been more like this, than the one in question. I don't think that one mentioned up thread would've been capable of driving through sand. The one up thread might've been the same as one a nearby neighbour had in the early 1970's. 🤔

The neighbour and his wife had a cafe in town. Did they have the car the day they got married and came home with the tins on string fastened to the exhaust pipe treatment I wonder? 🤔
