About ten years ago, Mrs R was invited by the US government to give a keynote lecture on health care. She applied for a visa but was turned down because she had been deported in 1976 for working without a work permit. She'd been a volunteer on a summer camp and the lifeguard broke his leg. Being qualified she stepped into the paid role and someone ratted to the authorities.
She did eventually get a visa after a series of interviews at the US Embassy and even now she has problems with immigration when she arrives in the US.
So I guess you'll be OK as long as you aren't planning on eloping with her to the States.
She's far too frisky a filly for me.
