At least your pastry didn't explode like my lard water mix did. It lifted the pan a foot off the stove and sprayed the cooker, ceiling walls and floor with lard and water. That's superheated water and a nucleating agent for you.

It got a bit messy & OH was hovering looking concerned but could shout at me today.

That is a lot more than me and a lot faster! I'm (occasionally) at the 1 mile in 60 minutes (ish) if and only if I have taken my morphine beforehand! still I suppose we are measuring it is miles per hour now not hours per mile! My evening walk is 0.6 of a mile and takes me roughly 45 minutes! It also requires a dose of morphine beforehand.

I have pleurisy once again. Bloody painful and makes it hard to breathe. This follows on from the cold I had last week while on leave from work.......
Will it all just p*ss off and leave me alone!

Sorry to hear this, I really am.

I have often stated to my severe asthma specialist (when I am struggling to breath) that breathing can be very overrated! I suffer from severe asthma, tracheomalacia and bronchiectasis and as a result can have coughing fits (pretty much from anything but often as a result of eating) that only end one of two ways. With me throwing up repeatedly or passing out. Neither is very pleasant but I literally can't breath from coughing and its 'orrible!

I can't imagine what you are going through. Hope you are feeling a touch better today, than on Wednesday.
