It's just leaving here... about one and a half hours of wet!

Morning, it is raining outside so there is no rush . I was in the Yellow room yesterday trying to remove flaking paint, the trouble was and is that some of it doesn't want to come off that easily. No doubt if we were to leave it and paint over it it would bubble up.
The colour of the room is just like Katherine's avatar.

What did you have for breakfast?
We haven't yet, just showering then heading down. We have to leave room though for the chocolate covered croissants that they sell in the park cafe by the museum.

Last night's meal included sirloin of oxen which immediately installed itself as the second best steak I have ever had. The 9 year old bottle of rioja we drank with it was pretty good too^_^

All the best people go there you know....

Where did you dine last night? Did you make it to the Winston Churchill Pub?
We dined at Victor Montes in the square, outside table. Quite an eye opener seeing an entire city go out for supper. Stupid that in Leiceter there are orders banning street drinking, but here it seems compulsary. Not found the Winston Churchill though, one last trip at lunchtime perhaps.

It don't look good! Pissing down in Coventry, looks like my ride to the Bosworth Battle Field is off.
The weather must be preparing for my return.

Unfortunately too many people in this country can't go out for a sociable drink and behave themselves, all they seem to want to do is get crap faced, misbehave and pick a fight with someone. Hence places having street bans.

I just can't listen to opera, to me it just ruins perfectly good music.Maybe I just haven;t heard the right one yet but I just can;t stand the wailing vocals.
I'm exactly the same. That's why I gave up listening to Radio 3 at night* - I'd get woken up in the middle of the night by some overblown singer as though from a nightmare. It sounds so completely unnatural to me. I like choral music though as it's ensemble work and not designed to drown out the whole.

*Mind, Radio 4 gets me when it turns into BBC Schools during the week. I just hate the shouty, manipulative voices. Then there's that horrible signature motif of Newsday early in the morning - using portamento settings on a synth for what is effectively a bugle call simply comes over as painfully out of tune.
