It's blooming awful here around Carlisle, the Goldfinch are taking a bit of a hammering on the bird feeder from the wind and rain.

Back is fine, just got road rash on shoulder and it's stiff. Nothing broken. Naproxen is keeping the swelling down.

It's fantastic. We had a spooky ride upto the top of the moor through misty pine forests (imagine a horror movie setting), then down the Black runs. Sun came out after a few hours.

No way is it winter duvet time here yet. I am hoping never to have to put it on.

It's on: it was cold in bed both last night and this morning, and I can't resolve that issue as I normally would by digging out the winter PJs since they no longer fit
