But the gory bits are the best bits! Mosley stuck a needle through his (anaesthetised) hand and could hardly look at it. I wanted to reach into the TV and wriggle it.
You are a woman after my own heart ;)

I cannot watch scary movies and all of these ghost in the house films around at the mo but give me a good operation or someone impaled on railings and I'm in like Flynn

I remember watching "Jimmy's" when I was a kid. A boy had cut his hand of and the surgeons wanted to reattach it. During the explanation of how they would attempt this, one of them pulled a nerve and the corresponding finger moved. :becool:

There used to be a programme on several years ago called Jamaican ER. It was on late at nights as it was a bit gruesome. Anyway i caught one episode after coming home from work in the early hours. A patient had a brain swelling which needed to be dealt with ASAP, no time to spare etc so they drilled into his head with a Black and Decker on the ward :surrender::eek::surrender::eek:

I never watched it again

I remember Jimmy's and we did a similar thing with a frogs leg is in science at school

I like the reality ER and Ambulance shows, they are fascinating.

I have some contact with that sort of world through my job but the people I'm dealing with are usually beyond mortal assistance.

I've just ordered 2 merino tops for £16 each from Aldi. They have a cycling offer but I pre-ordered online. They're called tops but they'll be base layers by the time I wrap up for winter outings.

There used to be some archaeological programmes which examined injuries inflicted in battle. I seem to remember one, I think it was from Towton where one of the injuries was to a persons jaw bone which had been severed but had healed. This led to the archaeologists to do some research into mediaeval medical practices which treated such wounds using honey. In another programme they reconstructed an implement that was used to extract an arrow head that was lodged in the face of one of the kings.
