If you people are going to post lovely looking pictures of nice food and pretty dogs and scenery, I feel I need to redress the balance

My view at this precise moment in time.

Lunch was good. Beef brisket and fried onions to cancel out the salad.

Another warm ride to work this morning, we had a lot of rain overnight but I didn't hear any thunder. I am debating trying a pilates session at the gym, has anyone had any experience?
Pilates is brilliant for me... I'm lazy so I would only do the easy stretches if left to my own motivation. And she is good at correcting us or reminding us of the multiple things we are meant to be thinking about.... So if you are doing a turning one she will often get us to look at our hands so we aren't cheating by just turning our head rather than our spine too. My teacher has even wormed herself into my head when I'm cycling and I suddenly hear a voice saying pull your shoulder blades down.

I like the "breathe into your back ". That took some getting my head around but i do it without thinking now.

Never heard that one :giggle:
I shall see how I get on, I am not usually good in group things like this as I am always aware of my size. However I know riding my bike so much is helpung with my fitness and I have dropped a dress size already and it has been suggested that this will help strengthen my core muscles.
If you don't like that class try another, and remember everyone is mostly concentrating on how badly they are doing it, not on you. My teacher knows I find it difficult to follow the verbal instructions... And so she will just correct things or sometimes we end up doing the Summerdays extension of the exercise because she sees a potential variation based on my wrong understanding. It has improved my core muscles which were very weak to now weakish... And made a real difference with pain I was getting from a slight scoliosis of the spine.
