If you people are going to post lovely looking pictures of nice food and pretty dogs and scenery, I feel I need to redress the balance

My view at this precise moment in time.

I never understand these people who have desks where you can see the wood.

One of the reasons I got a MarbleMouse was that I couldn't find room on my desk for a mouse mat.

We are moving office and meant to go paperless, hot desking, and without even permenant lockers to store stuff in. I brought my mug home today as I apparently won't need it in the brave new world!

I was hoping that idea would have died out by now. I was subject to an experement in it nearly 20 years ago. People need an anchor point, a space to make their own. All that happened was that people chose one desk and stuck to it. Always strange that those who try to push hot desking on others tend to have an office of their own.

I think TVC adequately answers this.

We will talk about beer, pies, cycling and other important things in life. If anyone mentions ontology, epistemology, methodology or H-indices.....I'm out of there

Sounds like a good plan!

I hope it's not too unsettling.

It's a pain because you end up going and talking to the person that you aren't sitting next to instead for ages! Whereas previously you could just ask a question and then carry on working.
