I hate coming back to a house that needs cleaning and tidying. All I want to do is sit down after unpacking and relax! No rush. The cleaning will wait till you get back.
Definitely, I like my girls to be prepared.
It is something I had never done and I must say I really loved it. Sat with a cuppa in my bag while the world slowly woke up was lovely. I am even tempted to buy a proper bivvy bag and try and sleep out more often.
The girls found it really exciting as it is something most of them had never done. I would not recommend it if you are packing up and going off in the morning as the condensation in the bag is heavy, but as we did this on camp we could turn the bags inside out and leave the sleeping bags to air. That is why I want a proper breathable bivvy so I can do this more often.I wouldn't willingly sleep in one of those...........................ever.
I remember once when we were setting off to walk Snowden by the traditional path from the old hotel (now the Snowden Ranger Hostel) in mid October the guy at the hostel asking if we'd got 'survival bags' and a flask I told him no but I'm taking a tent that'll go up in 90 seconds and 2 down sleeping bags.
He looked at me and said "90 seconds?" so I said "have you got 2 minutes" went outside with him and got him to time me as I went from carrying my rucksack to diving into the tent in 85 secs (it was a Litchfield 'Viper' that goes up 'fly first' with just 11 pegs and 2 guy ropes) he was impressed, but the tent is a 'Canadienne' type not one of these modern 'hoop or dome' types and the inner just hangs on 2 hooks (plus I used to put the flysheet up regularly when we stopped for a bite to eat if it was raining just as a shelter)
Not for them, I wouldn't mind it though, as long as it wasnt WagnerNot Glyndebourne then.
The youngsters will move on and set up elsewhere when old enough. Robins are very territorial.I think my pet robins have moved out, wonder if they'll return or do they set up nest somewhere different each time?
I feel a flounce coming on. You lot are rotten. I try and introduce culture and all you do is take the p1ss. That's no way to treat a highly educated philosopher.
You've not been here long have you?ahhhhh Poor Rocky, I appreciate you
