What you do is save all the nuts and bolts from when you dismantle anything at all, and store them in a collection of Old Holborn tins. I inherited a fine selection when my dad died, and can't stop myself adding to them ever since.

My dad had said that he is leaving me all his jars of screws and nuts. I see it as punishment.....

You can't beat it. We have loads... I hoard and Mr Hop has all his dad's old stuff.
Plus... Hardware shops are so the collection is regularly added to.

In my day it was a CSE



...and yes, I have a grade 3 CSE in Latin.

I gave that up in my third year, soooooooooooooooooooooo boring but in later years i grew to realise it's a very beautiful language and if i had paid attention then it would have been a lot easier to learn Italian.

Thank you. As with anything, the finish is what matters and it requires time to get it right. Fixing the copper foil is awkward if you've got fingers like a bunch of bananas!
