Reported that Hamilton crashed the Ferrari in testing this morning!

Also that Ferrari are not surprised given that he is learning the limits of the car.

Well F1 testing has started with the Beeb once again reporting on it like it's a race and the lap times are in any way meaningful.

Some really incisive commentary. Apparently Oliver Bearman has already noted that Hamilton has customised his steering wheels so that the control positions are similar to Mercedes. This exciting piece of news is followed by the revelation that F1 steering wheels are customised to suit the driver and that even drivers driving for the same team can have different wheel and paddle setups.

I bet they have to have the gearstick on the same side though

In the meantime enjoy my collection of F1 cars. A modern McLaren, Senna's McLaren and a modern F1 car of no known branding...

More incisive journalism from the Beeb:
One of the big takeaways from the team principals who spoke at lunchtime was how close the entire field is so far. Both James Vowles and Toto Wolff alluded to the ability for all of the teams to set competitive times depending on the fuel load they have in the car.

The more fuel you are carrying, the heavier the car is and the slower your lap time, and Vowles joked that Haas were running both their own full fuel load and Ferrari's on top of that, based on the times they have been posting.
Or in other words "you know all this stuff we keep posting about fastest lap times - it's completely pointless which is why a Williams currently has fastest lap. We just don't know how else to report on practice sessions in a meaningful way that generates clicks"

The pre-season glory lap is a Williams tradition

Odd that no one is talking about how slow the Haas is .
