To be honest its one of the things that really disappointed me with Sky... i think i have said this before, but given how they fill endless hours blathering on about the ins and outs of every blade of grass, every kick and every gust of wind with kickball I expected them to do more with F1.
Not the inane showbiz waffle on the pre shows that sometimes feels more like it would be at home on loose women but some proper in depth technical stuff, data stuff, stats stuff, maybe employing someone who knows their onions like Scarbs (as opposed to the likes of Kravitz) and giving him the budget to do some decent graphics and animation explaining the aero and mechanical aspects, perhaps get a uni on board and showing off the hidden stuff behind F1. I cant imagine it would be expensive to produce, and there is plenty of space on the channel.
You could then do stuff illustrating the race sims and race strategy all sorts of geeky goodness.
I think there is the geeky appetite for it, i think there is more of an appetite for that than the contrived showbiz drama and guff that comes with the netflix DTS audiences but I guess geek TV isnt cool. One of the things that appeals to me with Motorsport, not just F1 is all those varieables and multitudes of things that come together, or dont, to make a race
If it was good, i'd even be tempted to re-subscribe to SkyF1
