Dos anyone recall that a few weeks ago Lando was bellyaching to anyone who'd listen about how unfair it is when drivers get a free pitstop under the safety car?

Strangely enough, at Qatar he was one of those that benefitted and didn't have a single word to say on the matter. Strange that.

Not really. I think people were more concerned about the failure to deploy the safety car early enough and the cavalcade of penalties being issued.

Well an eventful weekend. The Stewards went nuts with penalties giving them out like confetti at a wedding, and according to the Beeb there is shock news that Verstappen has lost all respect for Russell (the shock being that he had any respect for any other driver in the first place...)

Giving arguably the best driver on the current grid extreme motivation did him zero good.

Indeed, it opened the door for Norris to get past a well, whereas if he'd stuck to ourselves defending his original P2 thwr likely wouldnt have happened.

Vertappen deserved the penalty for sure. Nefertheless, whinging as a tactic only works if a driver has the stones to back it up when the lights go out...and Rusell doesn't.

No doubt about that but he's motivated by his anger where as Russell is a 'run to teacher' type in the F1 playground.

Regarding all the very public handbags at 10 paces stuff from Verstappen et al, personally I don't like it. It's demeaning childish and detracts from what is already a failing sport IMO (and perhaps that's why they're being egged on)
I get why they're doing it, to get inside others heads...should that be what the sport I used to love, be about...no. it just drives me further away from it.
